Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon took place for the second year in cooperation with Municipality of Larnaka and with the approval of Cyprus Athletic Federation in November 18, 2018.

The event consisted of a Marathon race, a Half marathon race as well as 10km, 5km and 1km races. Numerous runners filled the streets of Larnaka with one saying: “One step, one dream”.

Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon has become a point of reference for the athletic events in Cyprus. It’s about an event which managed to surpass the city limits and welcomed thousands of participants from all cities of Cyprus and from more than 70 countries!

The event had many parallel activities. With great honor and brilliance, Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon welcomed the marathon flame from Athens Marathon, the Authentic. After the welcome ceremony at Larnaka International Airport a Torch relay took place. The course was 16 km and it ended at theatre of Foinikoudon.

2nd Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon is the first Green Marathon of Cyprus, as it is under the auspices of Commissioner for the Environment mrs. Ioanna Panagiotou. Also the team “Let’s do it Cyprus” is responsible for collecting and distributing the recycled materials that was used during the event and after the end of it.
