More than 6.000 runners were gathered on the central square of Nea Smirni on the 8 of October in order to participate in the big running Event.  On their side they had numerous volunteers who were more than willing and happy to assist them during their participation!

The Event’s races consisted of 10Km and 5Km as well as a 2,5Km fun run.

At 09:00 o’ clock the 10 km run took place with the city mayor, Stauros Zoulakis, giving the starting signal! A colorful river of runners flooded the streets!

The organization had very high standards. Olympic and Paralympic medalists were among the runners. World Champions, Artists and Politicians honored the event with their presence.

The 3rd Nea Smirni Historic Run was organized by the Cultural and Sports organization of Nea Smirni municipality, under the auspices of SEGAS and in co-operation with SAFANS club, Panionios Sports’ Club and the Youth of Red Cross.
